Part 3

Advantages

It’s very fast to sketch out on paper rather than guiding out software. It’s also easier to switch from high to low product concepts. Most offices have whiteboards or glass that can be used, allowing anyone to understand and contribute.

Disadvantages

You can’t have master templates or reusable elements since it's hard to neatly edit sketches. Erasing and redoing lines can become tedious. You can’t export sketches, and you can’t include media, fonts, or font formatting. Unlike software, sketches are not interactive, and there's no standardization, leading to potential inconsistencies. Digital wireframe tools also offer a zoom feature and provide a larger workspace, allowing more detail than sketches can accommodate. Presenting a digital wireframe is easier and more polished.

Choosing a Wireframing Style for My Project

Sketching on paper is easier for me because starting with software feels too “perfect.” Loose sketches are a better way to convey ideas for my project initially. It also lessens the pressure of making everything look perfect at the start, allowing me to focus on the main objectives rather than worrying about fonts and spacing until I refine the concept.
